You don’t need any previous experience: Together with an experienced tandem pilot, you will take to the skies safely. Ideal for getting to know paragliding in the Bernese Oberland in a relaxed way.
The flights are carried out by a trained tandem pilot from Paragliding Adelboden or Paragliding Kandertal.

How your paragliding flight works
Arrive & prepare: We get to know each other – after which you will receive a thorough introduction.
Start: Take the gondola up to Tschentenalp, then walk 10-15 minutes to the starting point.
Flying time: 15 to 30 minutes over the Adelboden mountains, depending on the weather and thermals.
Landing: Soft and safe on the ground, near the Bodehüttli restaurant.

Pleasure flight
Your tandem flight with a trained tandem pilot from Paragliding Adelboden: safe, relaxed and personal.
- Total duration: 1 to 1.5 hours
- Cost: CHF 190.
- Included: tandem flight, preparation, GoPro photos & videos (weather permitting)
- Not included: Transportation to the valley station

Thermal flight
More time in the air: thermal flying offers 30 to 60 minutes of flight time – you use natural updrafts like an eagle.
- Total duration: 1.5 to 2 hours
- Costs: CHF 250.
- Included: tandem flight, introduction, GoPro photos & videos (weather permitting)
- Not included: Transportation to the valley station

Adventure flight
With a trained tandem pilot from Paragliding Kandertal, you can fly over Adelboden all year round – even in winter.
- Flight time: approx. 20 minutes (can be extended for an extra charge)
- Total duration: 1 to 1.5 hours
- Cost: CHF 170.
- Included: tandem flight, introduction
- Not included: Transportation to the valley station

Take-off and landing sites
Just a few minutes by cable car from the center of Adelboden – and you’re already at 1,950 m above sea level on the Tschentenalp. A short walk takes you to the Schwandfelspitz (2,026 m above sea level), the ideal starting point for unforgettable paragliding flights.
Thanks to its special microclimate, the Tschentenalp offers reliable thermals, especially in winter. It is also one of the best soaring spots in the Bernese Oberland in light southerly to south-westerly conditions.
Cross-country flights over 100 kilometers are possible. The combination of easy accessibility, constant conditions and great views makes the Tschentenalp an insider tip for pilots of all levels.

- Tschenten SO – 1’927 m above sea level
Landing sites:
- Soil Summer – 1’288 m above sea level
- Only allowed to land here in summer
- Winter ground – 1,288 m above sea level
- Flat, largely obstacle-free winter landing area
- Landing or folding gliders on the cross-country ski trail prohibited
- Not usable during the Ski World Cup races
- Adelboden Oey – 1,253 m above sea level
- Spacious, slightly sloping landing area (summer & winter)
- Observe railroad facilities
- Out of consideration for funerals, no landings
Railroad opening hours
The current operating times of the cable car can be found here. From July to September, there are even special trips from 7:15 am on selected Sundays.
